IonQ is participating in the IEEE International Conference on Quantum Computing and Engineering (QCE), designed to bridge the gap between the science and industry of quantum computing. The event gives attendees an opportunity to discuss challenges and opportunities with quantum researchers, scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, developers, students, practitioners, educators, programmers, and newcomers.
IonQ will be actively participating in the event. On Tuesday, September 19th at 1 pm PDT, IonQ Applications Engineer Jason Iaconis will deliver a presentation on quantum artificial intelligence, where he will discuss training an image classification algorithm on trapped-ion quantum computers.
The same day at 2 pm PDT, Ilia Khait, Senior Staff Engineer in System Architecture & Performance, will give a talk entitled “The Quantum Interconnect Bottleneck”, where he will discuss modular quantum computing architectures and how to bridge the gap between the quantum networks and computing communities.
Then on Friday at 1:15 pm PDT, John Gamble, Director, System Architecture & Performance in System Architecture & Performance, will lead a workshop on technology roadmapping for trapped ion quantum computing.
We will also be participating in many of the workshops, and you can always stop by booth #11 at the event to connect with us and discuss the future of quantum computing.
We hope to see you there!
